Tourism Event :: Armenian Street’s Got Talent Cultural Show
The new event was kicked off in last Saturday at Armenian Street with good response from the local people and tourists as well.
The Armenian Street Got Talent project is carried out by YB Teh Lai Heng’s Service Center, and a collaboration with George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI),Penang Global Tourism (PGT),Municipal Council of Penang Island (MPPP)and Penang State Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee. The main objectives of this event is to promote traditional culture and art, and to provide better exposure for the working class and a platform to show off their talent.
This project will be held at Armenian Street every Saturday (6-11pm) starting from 23rd November, for a trial run period of 3 months. There will be a blockade along Armenian Street during the event to ensure the safety of all the performers and stalls setting up on the street.
Armenian St’s Got Talent is a platform for art lovers to explore more creative and performing space, while giving more opportunitiesfor the community to expose to the arts, and to further enrich the cultural characteristics of GeorgeTown.
There will also be stalls selling local cultural and creative goods including Nyonya pastries, cakes and many more.
