Hi, I would like to high light that Penang Akuarium, situated at Penang Fish Research Centre, Batu Maung is now re-open after it was closed for renovation for almost 2 years. My mom now operate the aquarium cafetaria and visitors are welcome to try the special home cooked style dishes.
Many people even Penangites are not aware of the nice and very reasonable entrace fee (RM1.5 for school children) aquarium that exist in our Island. But, till July 2011, admission is free. AND DONT MISS the last section of the aquarium which house 3 huge giant groupers. But, as it is goverment entities, please dont expect the aquarium to be like Akuaria KLCC. It was run by pasionate and dedicated staff with limited funding. Please contact : 04- 626 3925 or 013 5913027 (mak lang for catering)
