Grab tickets to Oktoberfest
GET ready for a frolicking good time at the annual Oktoberfest Penang 2011.
The fest at the Malaysian-German Society premises will be held on Oct 28 and Oct 29 from 7pm.
It is organised by the society which estimated that some 1,000 guests would turn up each night.
Society president Karl Ebinger said the event is jam-packed with exciting activities including a beer drinking competition and an arm wrestling contest for men.
“Apart from that, the Reissner Band will be flown in exclusively from Bavaria, Germany.
“Guests can expect mouth-watering food provided by Eastern and Oriental Hotel and the Ingolf’s Kneipe German Restaurant,” he said in a statement.
Stalls will also be set up by B. Braun and Robert Bosch factories to keep the children enthralled with fun-filled activities.
Pre-sale tickets are available for sale at RM25 per person until Oct 27 after which, it will be priced at RM30 each. Details, call Elena at 04-2296853.
