FOR those scouring Penang island for local delicacies, one can head to the Roti Bakar Kopitiam to satisfy their cravings.
The air-conditioned outlet offers a variety of delectable and authentic Penang food to those who do not like the hot and stuffy environment at most hawker centres and coffee shops.

Feast your eyes: Several of the tasty dishes served at the Roti Bakar Kopitiam
The restaurant has currently three branches on the island, with one in Penang Times Square while the others are at the Ivory Plaza situated along the Halaman Bukit Gambir and along Jalan Gemilang in Jelutong.
Offering a wide range of meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the outlets also provide customers a nice and cosy ambience to catch up with their friends.
The Curry Chicken Wan Tan Mee, Nasi Rendang Chicken and Roti Bakar Cheese are their signature dishes which keep the customers coming back for more.

Dig in: The curry Chicken Wan Tan Mee is among the must-haves at the restaurant
The Curry Chicken Wan Tan Mee is a combination of two very different dishes, namely Wan Tan Mee and Spicy Curry Chicken.
For those looking for Malay cuisine, they can sink their teeth into the Nasi Rendang Chicken with the rice cooked to perfection with pandan leaves.
The dish comes with a chicken thigh and drumstick as well as peanuts, anchovies, half an egg and a few slices of cucumbers to boot.
For those who are looking to have something light instead, they can opt for Roti Bakar Cheese which has melted cheese baked on a slice of bread.

Nostalgic look: The interior of the outlet exudes a feeling of yesteryear
Just bite into the crispy bread and feel the cheese oozing out of it. It is definitely a must-have for cheese lovers.
To wash down all these meals, one can go for the outlet’s signature drink, the Ice White Coffee.
According to the owner of the Penang-based food outlet, Billy Boey, his white coffee is from a special supplier in Ipoh.
“It is 100% white coffee and there is no mixture of other coffee beans,” said Boey.
The outlet is also a famous spot for students to come and do their assignments as it also provides free WiFi and power points for their laptops.
Owing to its reasonable prices, delectable dishes and cosy environment, there are plenty of reasons for one to come back to the place.
