Travel agents land in Paradise
GEORGE TOWN: More than 130 top travel agents from various cities in China were treated to a buffet lunch at Paradise Sandy Beach Resort, recently.
The travel agents were the guests of the Penang government, who invited them to show appreciation for the increased bilateral tourist traffic between China and Malaysia, particularly Penang, in recent years.
The guests enjoyed a a four-day three-night destination cruise onboard Star Cruise ship Libra, which was on her maiden voyage from Penang to Krabi and Phuket in Thailand before arriving at Paradise.
Among those present at the buffet lunch were state Tourism Development, Cultural, Arts and Heritage chairman Danny Law Heng Kiang, hotel general manager Jeff De Zilva, hotel staff A. Chandran, William Tan and Gan Soo Hun, and Eastin Hotel manager Mary Ann Harris. — By Paul Toh
